Bucknell

An East-Coast native, Jeff began coaching youth lacrosse in the late 80’s as high school player while winning county and state championships. He played Division 1 lacrosse at Bucknell as a four-year starter, three-time All Conference selection, and Captain. Post-college, he played internationally, leading clinics for Japanese youth and twice defeating the Japanese National Team. He serves as a Director for the Menlo Atherton Youth Lacrosse club, and has coached youth lacrosse teams, directed camps, and led clinics and lessons.

Terry Gilmore – Regional Director

Terry is a former Colorado College asst coach, and previous head coach of Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, where he was twice named high school Coach of the Year.  As a player, was a two-time Div 1 HM All-American at Ohio State University, is the all-time leader in career points and assists, was twice selected conference Player of Year, was the first lacrosse player inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame, and in 1998 was inducted into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Ben Hewitt – Program Director

As current Head Coach of the Casa Grande H.S. club team, Ben is one of the most successful high school coaches in Northern California lacrosse, having led his team to two state championships, 3 division titles, a Nor-Cal Cup, and playoff appearances each year.  He has coached youth travel team programs and directed or coached lacrosse camps for All West, Warrior and STX Lacrosse Camps.

Matt Bocklet – Program Director

Matt currently plays professional lacrosse for the Denver Outlaws and is a 2X MLL All-star.  He has also played for Team USA, and won an NCAA national championship with Johns Hopkins.  He is also the current head coach of Highlands Ranch High School, and brings extensive experience coaching youth players via his X10 Mountain Lacrosse Academy and coaching at numerous other camp and clinics.

Tyler Fiorito – Aspire Instructor

As Princeton’s Goalie for past 4 years, Tyler was 4x All Ivy League, 4x All-American, was named 2012 Ivy League Player of the Year, and was selected at the #10 overall pick in the MLL draft by the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Tyler will coach provide Goalie-specific instruction at some of our camps and during our Pro-Series Summer Skills Clinics.

Chris Bocklet- Aspire Instructor

Chris is a starting attackman for the University of Virginia, a pre-season All-American selection, honorable mention All-American the past two seasons, and leads the defending national champion Cavaliers in goals. He was selected as the 29th overall pick in the 2012 MLL draft by the Charlotte Hounds. Chris brings extensive experience coaching youth players, including at his family’s X10 Mountain Lacrosse Academy summer camps.

Chad Wiedmaier – Aspire Instructor

Chad recently became the first Princeton player ever to earn four first-team All-Ivy League selections, and soon will be a 4 year All-American as well. He was selected seventh overall in the first round of the 2012 MLL draft and is a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior Class award, honoring the most outstanding senior NCAA Division I Student-Athlete of the Year.

Eric Haas – Aspire Instructor

Eric has coached high school and youth lacrosse in Colorado for the past 13 years, twice a member of the HS Coaching Staff of the Year. As a player at Colorado College, he served as a captain and earned Academic All-American honors. Prior to Colorado College, he was also captain and a member of the All-Tournament Team at JUCO regionals at Catonsville Community College in Baltimore, Md. Off the field, Eric is a high school and junior high science teacher, and has an exceptional ability relating to and teaching the kids.

Barbara Copeland – Aspire Instructor

Barbara is both a natural and professionally trained teacher. She graduated Colorado College in 2001, and then earned her Masters in Teaching with honors. On the lacrosse field, she played the low attack position. For the last 5 years she has been the head Varsity girls lacrosse coach at Green Mountain High School, where she took an inexperienced high school team from 0-15 in its previous season to a school record for wins at 11-4 the following season. She absolutely loves teaching and playing lacrosse and has worked with a variety of age groups, including leading a summer camp for elementary school students.

Kevin Arabejo – Aspire Instructor

Kevin is a current senior defenseman for Notre Dame de Namur Division II lacrosse team. He earned all-league honors in WILA as a junior. He has extensive experience coaching youth lacrosse and hockey, including with Golden Gate Elite and Vitality lacrosse.

Kendal Shomura – Aspire Instructor

Prior to joining Aspire, Kendal was an Assistant Coach for Cal Poly, a perennial Top 10 MCLA Division 1 team. A graduate of Cal Poly, Kendal served as team captain, leading his team to a league title and earning MCLA Honorable Mention All America, Tournament MVP, Team MVP honors. He is a current youth head coach for the Napa Force lacrosse club. Outside of coaching he is a middle school science teacher and has vast experience working with youth on and off the lacrosse field.

Nick Coric – Aspire Instructor

Current Assistant Coach of NCAA Division II Dominican University, where he works with Attack and Midfield. In college, was an All-American at east-coast Div II powerhouse C.W. Post where he led the team in assists while helping his team earn a 47-4 record during his career and back-to-back NCAA Div II national championships.

Matt Samett – Aspire Instructor

Matt is current midfielder for University of Oregon’s MCLA Division 1 lacrosse team. Previously he was captain and team MVP for Casa Grande High School team, and helped lead his team to the California Division 2 State Title. In high school he was a US Lacrosse All American, NCJLA First Team All League, and played for the NorCal U17 team. He is a former coach for Vitality’s Summer League and has expeirence working with kids of all ages.

Ben is currently a senior defender on the Dominican University Division II lacrosse team. As junior starter, he led the team in caused turnovers and earned All-WILA Conference honors. He has coached youth lacrosse for Vitality, All West and at the Dominican Lacrosse camps for the past three years.

Brock Beall- Aspire Instructor

Brock Beall – Brock was voted by his team to be co-captain of the Division II Dominican Univ as a sophomore, a great testament to his leadership skills. He played in all 13 games as a freshman and was named to inaugural Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-Academic Team. In high-school, Brock was twice named first-team, All-Olympic Conference middie in Oregon.

Riley Siedel – Aspire Instructor

Recruited out of high school to play lacrosse at the Air Force Academy, Riley recently transferred to the University of Colorado where he starts on Attack and earned Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference 1st Team All-Conference Attack in 2012. In high school he broke school records for career scoring, assists and total points and was a three-time all-city honoree, two-time all-region selection.

Christy Hartman – Aspire Instructor

After earning co-MVP honors as one of the highest scorers on her team, Christy helped her All-County team earn first place in a Virgina regional All-Star tournament her senior year. After taking a break from lacrosse to pursue other career interests, she has found a new passion teaching lacrosse to budding young players. As the lead instructor in beginner lacrosse classes in California and Utah, Christy has taught many boys and girls new to the sport of lacrosse.

Nicole Hyde – Aspire Instructor

Current youth lacrosse coach for U9 Girls; Played college lacrosse for University of Pacfic, leading team in scoring all 4 years. 2008 Head JV Coach for Palo Alto High School Girls Lacrosse team; took girls who had never picked up a lacrosse stick to a winning season.
